Woodward offers a wide range of controllers for the Generator Set market. We strive to reduce total installed/operating cost and commissioning time while improving availability, efficiency, reliability and longevity.

Our knowledge of controls, auxiliaries and power generation systems lets us drive optimization through simplification and standardization.
The woodward range of controllers can operate generator sets of all sizes and applications. These controllers include algorithms and logic specifically designed to start, stop, control and protect generating sets, circuit breakers and, where applicable, utilities. This technology allows for the standardisation of a single, economical genset controller for distributed generation applications. These applications range from a single stand-alone emergency backup power source to parallel load sharing of multiple gensets in complex, segmented distribution systems with multiple utility feeders and connected circuit breakers.
The ProAct III actuator system is generally used on diesel, gas and petrol engines in the larger power classes from 500 kW onwards. The butterfly valve of the fuel supply system for gas engines can be driven directly via the coupling connection shaft, or the oil pump rack of the engine can be driven via a linkage mechanism.
